Bioresources Development Centre (BIODEC), Odi

Established in 2003 by National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, it is located in the heart of the Niger Delta region. BIODEC Odi is a practical demonstration of the Federal Government's commitment to invigorate wealth creation and employment generation at the grassroot level.

Ensure significant grassroot empowerment of the Niger Delta region through profitable exploitation of renewable bioresources.

Our Approach

Bioprospect and carry out Research & Development on indigenous Biological Resources of economic and national importance, stimulating the interests of local communities, researchers, farmers and relevant stakeholders in biotechnology tools andn applications to boost their productivity.
